Banyan Roots, an open space café and an organic store, located in the heart of the city celebrated their first anniversary today. With some innovative ideas for the youth of Udaipur, it was a celebrating eve organized by Banyan Roots in their own unique way, at their premises located in New Fatehpura.
Banyan Roots was founded by Jayesh Mohta and Rohit Jain last year.
On the occasion, Jayesh shared, “This is a natural place, which allows you to taste various organic tea and snacks. The idea behind opening such a place was to allow individuals and groups to develop and nurture some hobby, some passion where there is no discrimination, where money does not play the godly role”.
“At present, two important groups UWS (Udaipur Weekend Shoot) and UMS (Udaipur Music Circle) are associated with Banyan Roots. We conduct interesting sessions to promote art”, added Mohta.
A theatre group ‘Dramawale’ is the new entrant to our associations of artists. Banyan Roots believe in ‘no honor, no service’ formula that makes the place more friendly, with equity.
Regarding organic farming, Rohit Jain wanted to share the message with Udaipurites that the skillful organic farmers who work day and night for their crops, at the end are not left with enough for their bread and butter.
Banyan Roots promotes organic products and also conducts trainings with organic farmers.
The celebration today included poetry and a music session by UMS group.
