Biological Park Inaugurated by Prakash Javedekar

Prakash Javedekar congratulated Architect Sanjay Gupte for his efforts and also had a brief chat with Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria regarding the upcoming Rainwater Harvesting Project at the Biological Park and the Bird Park Project. He assured support in these projects..
Javedekar stated that this Biological Park will benefit people in terms of occupation, ecotourism, and a way to get close to nature.
Kataria, in his address said, “Now that the first phase of Biological Park, which cost around Rs. 26 Crore is complete, a new project, worth Rs. 87 Lac is in progress where the Rain Water will be stored via an ‘anikat’, which will preserve 10 Lac liter water.”
“UIT and Nagar Nigam have agreed to contribute Rs. 1.75 Crore each for the Bird Park project in Gulab Bagh that is estimated to cost around Rs. 11 Crore.”, he added.
Kataria also made an appeal to Javadekar, where he asked for support on the revised draft of Rs. 85 Crores for the development of Aayad River around Udaipur. This was previously Rs. 140 Crore. “We will develop Aayad river on the model of Venice, which will add to the beauty of the city”, said Kataria.
Chief Forest Conservator, Rahul Bhatnagar, Dr. T. Mohanraj, Dr. Satish Sharma, Sohail Majboor, Dinesh Bhatt, Pramod Samar, Chunnilal Garasia and many other well known faces from the city were present in the event.
Both the Ministers toured the entire Park after the inauguration formalities concluded.
