The Dawoodi Bohra Shia community of Udaipur commemorated the auspicious day of Urs (Death Anniversary) of a prominent religious saint Syedi Lukmanji Bin Dawood Bhai Saheb at the shrine located at Bohrawadi, Udaipur.

The two day event started from Sunday evening of 17^th June as the eve of the 256^th Urs. The evening was observed with a series of programs, mass prayers and gathering of thousands of people at the finely decorated shrine. Members of the community paid their respects at the shrine (Ziyarat) and prayed for peace and harmony.

According to one of the devotees, the program of offering flowers on the shrine was done by Amil Sheikh Mustafa Moiyyadi along with members of the Dawoodi Bohra Shia Jamaat followed by Matam.

Thereafter, a religious sermon (Majlis) was also presided over by the Amil at the Moiyadpura Mosque.

Today, on the day of Urs, the program started soon after the morning prayers. People gathered at the shrine and prayed. Later in the afternoon, a community feast (Niyaz) was organized.

The program was executed under the directions of Amil Sheikh Mustafa Moiyaddi, senior members of the Shia Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat. Shabbir Musfata, Sheikh Shumail, Zoeb Bhai and Kausar Kurawadwala were also present on the occasion.
