At evening today, after finishing the 22nd fast of the month of Ramadan, the community people will get ready to leave for mosque. The old city area of Boharwadi has 4-5 mosques including mosques of neighboring areas of Choti-boharwadi and Chamanpura.

There are many significances of the night of Shab-e-qadr; it is believed that the first verse of Holy Quran was revealed on the same night. It is also believed that praying this night gives equal to rewards of hundreds of prayers and if someone asks for repentance to God, it is also accepted tonight.

“We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power: And what will explain to thee what the night of power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah ‘s permission, on every errand: Peace!…This until the rise of morn!” —Sura 97 (Al-Qadr), 1-5

One highly believed custom of this night according to Dawoodi Bohras is that they especially dedicate this night to Fatima, daughter of Prophet Muhammad. Bohras believes that Fatima had prayed whole night for their followers on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.

Soon after this remarkable night, preparation of Eid can be noticed as only a few days remains in the consummation of the month long fasting.
