BSF pays tribute to martyrs

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria attended the 146th BSF Battalion’s golden jubilee celebration and tribute ceremony for the martyrs.
Kataria addressed the gathering and said that more than on battleground; we have seen our soldiers sacrificing their lives fighting terrorism. It is required for all of us to come forward to fight terrorism.
He appreciated the work done by BSF and called them the pride of India as due to them we sleep peacefully in our homes. The ceremony was also attended by MP Arjun Lal Meena, Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena and BSF Deputy Commandment Kamlesh Meena.
Five families of martyrs were presented with shawl and memento as a means to pay tribute to the martyrs. Kamlesh Meena narrated the stories of each martyr which was heard by all with teary eyes and proud hearts.
The recipients of the honors were Rama Devi, wife of martyr Nayak Ramlal (died on 7th August 1993) from Chittorgarh; Ajay Bishnoi, son of martyr Jagdish Chandra (died on 3rd May 2002); Prabhulal, brother of martyr Kaluram Acharya (died on 11th March 1991); Vijay Devi, mother of martyr Lakshman Lal (died on 7th December 1996) and Shaila Gupta, mother of martyr Tarun Gupta (died on 26th July 2012).
