Cancer Survivors narrated their victory over deadly disease
The Oncology Department of Geetanjali Hospital has organized a Cancer Survivorship Program to encourage and cheer up cancer survivors, theme of the program was “New Beginning”.
The Oncology Department of Geetanjali Hospital has organized a Cancer Survivorship Program to encourage and cheer up cancer survivors, theme of the program was “New Beginning”.
Around 500 cancer survivors attended the program, many of them also narrated their struggles and win over the deadly disease. From inaugurating to presenting cultural events, the cancer survivors took control over the stage and exhibited their confidence and joyfulness to the present audience.
The chief guest of the program was DSP Umesh Ojha who with cancer survivors light the lamp and started the program. Kapil Agarwal (vice chairman Geetanjali Group), Dr R.K Nahar (Vice Chancellor), Ankit Agarwal CEO and Dr F.S Mehta Dean with all doctors of oncology department were present on the occasion.
Two cancer survivors an 8-year-old Anil and 7-year-old Aradita begin the program by singing Gayatri Mantra. A 94-year-old Professor Bahuguna narrated his story of fighting the cancer and set an example for others.
A video film of how Geetanjali Cancer Center started was also showcased. Dr Sachin Arjun Jain encouraged survivors and patients in his short address.
