Dates for the International film festival or the Cannes Film Festival have been rescheduled. Earlier the festival was supposed to take place in May but the rising pandemic has forced it to be rescheduled. The dates have been declared as July 6 to July 17 by the organisers.

As per the statement released, the festival reserves its right to change the dates depending on the situation in the pandemic era. Last year the festival was cancelled with the outrage of the pandemic. It has been a year since then and movie lovers are eagerly waiting for the announcements of awards.

This year, the organisers intend to hold the festival come what may. The Cannes Film Festival in 2021 is going to be the 74th festival; no details were given as to how the festival would take place.

As per sources, the hub for the festival, the Palais des Festivals has been used for hospital beds and recently being used as a vaccination centre.
