One of the most coveted awards in the field of Journalism, Captain Durgaprasad Chaudhary Journalism Award, will be given out to the deserving journalists in a function on 29^th June at RNT Medical College Auditorium, Udaipur.

Chief Guest on the occasion will be National General Secretary of Congress and Former Cabinet Minister, Dr. C.P.Joshi, while the function will be led by Opposition Leader in the Assembly, Gulabchand Kataria. Among the special guests, Cabinet Minister Dr. Girija Vyas, MLA Raghuveer Meena, Mayor Rajini Dangi, and other dignified people will be present.

Chief Editor of Dainik Navjyoti, Deenbandhu Chaudhary informed that Deepak Shrimal from Banswara will be awarded the main award for the year 2013. He will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 31,000.

Names for the other 5 awardees are – Keshav Pathik from Kapasan, Sudarshan Singh from Udaipur, Lokendra Singh from Devgarh, Harish Kumar Pandya from Dungarpur and Rajkumar Kothari from Pratapgarh. They will receive a cash prize of Rs. 11000 each.

It can be acknowledged that the prestigious award is named after the Founder Editor of Dainik Navjyoti and Freedom Fighter Captain Durgaprasad Chaudhary.
