Carinval of Aravallis - IIM Udaipur cultural fest Audacity this weekend

Audacity is the annual cultural fest of the Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur. It is a 2-day event full of enthrallment and euphoria. It is the magnum opus of all the fests in the state of Rajasthan. After much delay and general uncertainty due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Audacity is finally here to be held on 13th and 14th of March 2021. This year, in order to pay our respects and show our love for the beautiful Aravallis that nestle our campus, the theme is ‘Carnival of Aravallis’.

The fest is being held in a hybrid model this year. So, some of the events in Audacity are being held offline exclusively for the on-campus students, a few of them are also being held online to include the students who are off campus, as well as to foster relationships with students from other management institutes. The registrations for online events were held through D2C, a well-known platform for registering students for various events.

The students have been working tirelessly for the past few months now and D-Day is almost here. With all the student clubs and committees coming together to organize this fest, it has been an atmosphere abuzz with excitement on campus. There will be many fun-filled events with cash prizes to be won. Starting from treasure hunts to Online Poker to Body Zorbing, we have it all.

But, Audacity is not just about participating in events and winning cash prizes. Audacity also is a time to unwind and let one’s hair down. We have an exotic lineup of performers this year at our fest to rock your boat. We have Karan Singh Magic, Fiddlecraft, DJ Vibhor, Anirban Dasgupta, Lost Stories. And our showstopper, Mr. Benny Dayal, the award winning Bollywood singer, with hits like Badtameez Dil and Locha-E-Ulfat.

Audacity would not have been possible without our title sponsor, Secure Meters and all the other sponsors who were gracious enough to support us every step of the way, even in the midst of a pandemic. And last but not least, our director, Professor Janat Shah, who not only lent us his unwavering support and worked tirelessly to make Audacity a possibility this year; but also inspired us with his deeds and work.

With all that being said, let us hope that Audacity’21 is a success and everyone gets two days to enjoy themselves to their fullest potential. May the Aravallis come alive with the sound of music!
