CAIT Celebrates Women's Day, Felicitates Over 100 Achievers

27 women were presented with the CAIT Star Icon Award for their outstanding achievements in various fields; 75 women were honoured with the CAIT Icon Award

Udaipur, March 5, 2026 - On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the CAIT (Confederation of All India Traders) Women Wing Udaipur organised a CAIT Fiesta 2026 at Ashoka Green, Udaipur. The special event was dedicated to women empowerment, culture, recognition, health and positivity.

CAIT Women Wing president and Mewar region In-charge Vijaylaxmi Galundia said the event was dedicated to the women of Udaipur, providing them with a platform to showcase their talent, confidence and achievements.

The programme was attended by several distinguished guests including Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, former Mayor Rajni Dangi, Jahan IVF Director Dr Nisha Agrawal, D Plus Shandaar Director Rukhsana Sabunwala, Rockwood School Director Alka Mundra, NICC Director Dr Sweety Chhabra, social worker Pushpa Kothari, UCCI president Manish Galundia, social worker Madhu Sareen, CAIT Udaipur Chapter president Dinesh Chordia and General Secretary Mahendra Talesara.

Secretary Dr Sonu Jain informed that more than 100 people were felicitated at the CAIT Icon Awards. Among them, 27 women were presented with the CAIT Star Icon Award for their outstanding achievements in various fields. Additionally, 75 women were honoured with the CAIT Icon Award for successfully managing both their homes and professional careers.

The CAIT Star Icon Award recipients were: Sakshi Bhatt, Pooja Chhabra, Aishwarya Singh, Hasina Chakkivala, Sudha Kawadia, Anjali Dubey, Rukhsana Sabunwala, Dr Guneet Monga, Shanu Lodha, Dr Sangeeta Gupta, Sangeeta Dhar, Prem Nahar, Asha Mehta, Dr Simmi Sood, Meenal Jain, Priyanka Arjun, Palak Jain, Navneet Kaur Chhabra, Madhu Agrawal, Kriti Sharma, Mehak Sanadhya, Kritika Chaubisa, Asha Pandey, Shaili Shrivastava, Shrestha Kothari, Heera Sareen and Sonal Kanthalia.

Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani addressed the gathering saying that CAIT is a national organisation continuously working for the welfare of traders and that such an event on Women’s Day is highly commendable.

A shopping carnival was organised as part of the fiesta under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Indian Goods, Our Pride” campaign. More than 50 stalls featuring jewellery, boutiques, food items, home décor and other products were set up. A free health check-up camp was also held. For entertainment, the highlight of the event was Filmistaan Housie.

Coordinator Kavita Baldwa informed that the programme concluded with a flower holi celebration.
