8th March is International Women’s Day. Medical departments and Women and Child development department will celebrate this day by means of 355 plantations on Ratnagiri hills in Meera Nagar, Udaipur.

8th March is International Women’s Day. Medical departments and Women and Child development department will celebrate this day by means of 355 plantations on Ratnagiri hills in Meera Nagar, Udaipur.

CMHO Dr. Sanjeev Tank said that 355 daughters were born in Udaipur after 15th August 2015. The birth of these daughters will be marked by planting 355 plants and trees in their names. Parents of these daughters will also present on the spot and each will be requested to take care of the plants bearing their daughter’s name plate.

A blood donation camp will also be organised. Blood tests will also be carried out. Rangoli, mehndi etc. competitions will be held and films on female infanticide and women rights will be shown to bring awareness among the people. The team of Asha Sahyogini and Anganbaadi will also be felicitated for their contribution in respective fields.

CMHO Sanjeev Tank also said that the hilly areas near Pratapnagar Khelgaon will be developed as “Gaurav Beti Udhyaan” for which hospitals and agencies will be asked to co-operate and contribute. The guardians/parents of the daughters will be given the responsibility to look after these parks.
