Change mindset, Change society, says Mayor
Udaipur School of Social Work in collaboration with Women Research Department, Vishakha Sansthan, Jaipur and Mahila Salah & Suraksha Kendra (MSSK) conducted 15-day program of Stop Violence on Women which concluded with candle march at Chetak Circle on 10th December.
Udaipur School of Social Work in collaboration with Women Research Department, Vishakha Sansthan, Jaipur and Mahila Salah & Suraksha Kendra (MSSK) conducted 15-day program of Stop Violence on Women which concluded with candle march at Chetak Circle on 10th December.
With candles in their hand, people pledged to create awareness and stop violence on women. The chief guest Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, Vice Chancellor (JRNRVU) Prof SS Sarangdevot, special guest Dr. Manju Mandot, Rashmi Kumari, Jyotsana and Dr. Sunil Chaudhary graced the occasion with their presence.
Prof Sarangdevot said that with changing times, our thinking has to change and with that women have to be part of the mainstream society. Mayor highlighted that the violence on women is violation on human rights and strict actions need to be implemented.
The candle march was attended by Dr. Veena Dwivedi, Dr. Sunil Chaudhary, Dr. Seeta Gurjar, Chitranjan Nagda, Dinesh Tiwari, Krishnakant Nahar, Dr. Ghanshyam Singh Bhinder and many representatives of NGOs, students and general public.
