A workshop on “Employment Opportunities for Youth in Armed Force” was conducted in Udaipur’s Asian Defence Academy located at Badi.

Conducted in three phases, the other venues of the workshop were Guru Gobind Singh School and BN College Auditorium. Headed by Dhanpat Singh, district employment officer, the keynote speakers of the event were, Wing Commander Anant Gaur of Airmen Selection Team, Jodhpur, Col D A Khan (Retd) from Asian Defence Academy, Col P S Bhatnagar (Retd ) and Dhanpat Singh .

There was an overwhelming response to this initiative and approximately 1000 students availed the benefit of attending this workshop. More such workshops are being planned in near future.

Speakers brought out the avenues open to youth in army, navy and air force where they can join both as officers and below officer rank.

Wg Cdr Anant Gaur mentioned that Air Force being equipment oriented service, there are ample opportunities for students with science background to make a career in Air Force.

Col D.A Khan of Asian Defence Academy conveyed that under present conditions Armed Forces provide a career which besides being a very noble one enables us to be self reliant for the whole life. It provides you an honorable life as also making you and your whole family financially self reliant.

Col Khan said, “Our endeavor at the Asian Defence Academy is to train the youth who wish to choose Armed Forces as career and help them in achieving their aim.”

There was valuable contribution from all the speakers. All the students who attended this workshop showed a great sense of enthusiasm and keenness to join the Armed Forces.

The workshop was a success primarily by the efforts taken by Dhanpat Singh, Dist Employment Officer, Udaipur.
