The Singhal Foundation of Udaipur organized the Bharatatma Ashokji Singhal Veda Puraskar event in Ayodhya, where national-level awards for Vedas were presented. The awards were presented by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was Chief Guest at the event. The awards aim to honor the late Ashok Singhal's dedication to promoting Vedas. This marked the eighth consecutive year of presenting these awards, with a total of Rs 20 lakhs being distributed for the development of Vedas in various categories.
The ceremony recognized Narayan Lal Sharma of Bhilwara as the best Veda student, R. Rajamouli as the Ideal Veda Teacher, Acharya Gopalchandra Mishra Vedic Unnayan Sansthan, Kashi as the best Veda school, and Brahmashree Vishnu Bhatla Subramanyam Ghanpathi with the Veddarpitjeevan i.e. Life Time Achievement Award.
Salil Singhal, President of the Foundation, expressed gratitude to the attendees, while Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji shared that the awards were named Bharatatma to honor the late Ashok Singhal's deep connection with India.
In conclusion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised Ashok Singhal's great contributions and Sanjay Singhal, trustee of Singhal Foundation, extended thanks to all the dignitaries present at the event.
About the BharatAtma Awards
The Singhal Foundation instituted the "Bharatatma Ashokji Singhal Vedic Awards" as the inaugural national awards for Vedic Education. Not only do these awards highlight vedic education excellence on a national scale, but they also honor the memory of Shri Ashokji Singhal.
