The number of farmers with small, segregated lands for farming are in abundant in Mewar region. If used effectively, the land can not only be used for cultivation of monsoon crops but also fruits and vegetables simultaneously.

The collector Ashutosh Pednekar addressed the gathering at the Kisan Mela organized at Badgaon by Mahan Seva Sansthan and Nabard.

He said that through the efforts of Nabard, farmers residing in remote villages can be benefited with their living. He emphasized education of women so that technological knowledge can be implemented in the farming leading to growth in revenue sources.

In the fair, revenue enhancement activities related stalls were set up by 14 self-governed organizations.

Besides Collector, other delegates such as DDM of Nabard Vijendra Singh, Dr. S.L Mehta, Dr. H.K Mittal, S.S Jodha, B.L Meena, S.K Sahu, Rajendra Gamath, Lalit Joshi and R.K Agrawal were present. Around 300 farmers participated in the fair.
