The customary prayers were performed today as part of the preparation of the upcoming event to be held on 5 May, popularly known as ‘Varshik Jaagran Mahotsav’ at Fateh School as a homage to Shree Khatu Shyam Ji, a Hindu deity popularly known as Shyam Baba who is worshipped for his great sacrifice. The main temple of Khatu Shyam ji is located at Khatu Nagri in Sikar district of Rajasthan.

In Udaipur, Shree Shyam Bhakt Mandal Trust would be organizing the  9th Annual Jaagran Mahotsav at Fateh Senior Secondary School, Udaipur on 5^th May. The event consists of many rituals and bhajans.

Today, Bhoomi-Poojan was performed at Fateh School premises, which was led by Pandit Khayalilal. The prayers were done to purify the place by sacred water brought from the Khaatu-Shyam kund and the Ganges.

The construction of a huge podium has also started under the observation of Anil Ved. The stage would be 100 feet high and 80 feet wide.

Anil Ved told that it has been observed in the past that thousands of devotees participate in this event so we have made seating arrangement for about 40,000 people.

Many devotees from the other states also prepare Jhankiyan for the same and also participate in the event.
