An Inter Unit Debate and Singing Competition were held at Chanderiya Land Zinc Smelter of Hindustan Zinc limited. The competition was organized by the Women Interaction Network (WIN).

Participants from Units of Zawar Mines, Agucha Mines, Dariba Complex, Chanderiya Smelter, Debari Smelter and Headquarters participated in the competition.

The topic of debate competition was “Can women be appointed as the head of all the units of Hindustan Zinc?” .

Harsh Tripathi won the debate competition while second prize was given to Vipul Shukla. In Music competition, Himanshu Bhardwaj came first and Lokesh Kumar won the second prize.

A discussion on the subject “Contribution of Women” was also instigated. Top officials of the organization including Sanjay Sharma, Location H.R, Vijaya Gupta, Deputy C.F.O, Vikash Sharma, Location Head (Chanderiya Plant), Kokila Shukla and Sangeeta Sharma presented their views.

The discussion settled on a common viewpoint that the contribution of women is necessary in 21^st Century Industrial Development.
