Court Martial showed Reality of Casteism
The main plot of the story revolves around, Court Martial going on a soldier named Ram Chandar who is accused of killing one his senior officer and physically hurting another officer.
A heart touching stage play “Court-Martial” was performed today in the memory of Pandit Hemant Pandya (Dadu) by the artists of Nadbrahma, a social organization of Udaipur.
The play was directed by renowned theater director Shivraj Sonwal and it was organized in the joint association of Nadbrahma and Mohan Singh Mehta Memorial Trust.
The play written by Swadesh Deepak was highly acclaimed by the audience in Vidya Bhavan Auditorium.

Court Martial ceremony is addressed by another experienced military officer Col. Surat Singh who had witnessed many wars and experienced life and death situations many a times in his life. But the situation of Ram Chandar was completely different than what has been actually portrayed.
The play depicts the social prejudice of casteism which is still prevalent in spite of constitutional equality to every person without any discrimination of any caste, creed, colour, sex or religion.
The programme which is held every year in the memory of Late Hemant Pandya has marked its 5th anniversary today.
The play was exhibited in very influential style by the young artists of Nadbrahma. The toughest character of the play ‘Ram Chandar’ was enlivened very impressively by artist Ravi Sen who showed the misery of a young soldier.
Artists Naveen Jeengar and Amit Vyas have also acted superbly in their role of advocates; another artist Ravi Dadidhch also received appreciation from audience for his prevailing role as Col. Surat Singh.
The performance lasted for 2 hours and the characters were made alive by the artists under the perfect direction by Shivraj Sonwal.
