-The Pushkar fair taking place bewteen 22nd November and 30th Novemebr stands cancelled this year.

-Administration has decided to cancel the fair in the wake of covid. 

The grand animal fair that takes place in Pushkar every year in November will not take place this year. The government has taken the decision to cancel the fair this year in the wake of covid as the fair witnesses immense gatherings and there are all the possibilities that if the fair takes place, it will only add to trouble.

22nd November to 30th November, Pushkar witnesses grand celebrations as this is the time when thousands of camels and horses are traded. The fair is also one of the major attractions for tourists. This annual multi-day live stock fair and cultural event is loved by both domestic and foreign tourists.

The competitions held are loved by masses. The fair is held on the banks of Pushkar Lake. Handicraft shops are also set up and the colourful stalls attract everyone. This is also a source for fetching income for the local artisans.

Now that covid has struck the world, this grand fair will have to wait for long. People will have to wait for the abundance of colourful cultural themes. The cancellation has been confirmed by Ajmer Collector Prakash Rajpurohit.
