Rajasthan Police Day 2025 celebrations aimed at connecting the public with the police and understanding their work closely
Udaipur, April 16, 2025 - As part of the Police Day Celebrations 2025, several programmes are being organised to help the public, particularly the youth, connect with the police and understand their work more closely.
In this series of events, yesterday, April 15, Udaipur police organised a musical performance in the evening at Fateh Sagar’s promenade, where a police band played patriotic songs. Present on the occasion were Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Umesh Ojha, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Gopal Swaroop Mewada and Additional Superintendent of Police (Kherwada) Anjana Sukhwal, along with police personnel and a large gathering of the public. The stage proceedings were conducted by Deputy Superintendent of Police Chetna Bhati.
Quiz Competition
On the occasion of Rajasthan Police Foundation Day, a district-level quiz competition for school students from Grades 9 to 12 was organised under the direction of the Superintendent of Police, Udaipur. The event was held at Mahatma Gandhi Government School (Indragarh), near Police Lines, Udaipur. Deputy SP Chetna Bhati (CID Zone, Udaipur) and Mahendra Kumar Jain, Chief District Education Officer (Secondary), led the event with support from Principal Hiralal Mogra. A total of 104 students from across the district participated in the competition.
The winners were Neer Jain (first), Jayvardhan Singh (second) and Parth Nandwana (third), all students of St Anthony’s School. Additionally, five students – Yudhveer Singh, Garv Pagaria, Tanishq Ojha, Cheshta Prajapat and Gunjit Sharma – received consolation prizes.
The quiz covered topics such as general knowledge about Rajasthan Police, structure and functioning of the police department, new criminal laws, RajCop Citizen App, traffic rules, cybercrime and safety, and women’s safety. Both written and oral rounds were conducted.
Also present on the occasion were Reserve Inspector Gulab Singh, Quiz Masters Manoj Kumar Pathak and Hitendra Soni, along with hundreds of students from the district.
The top three will now represent Udaipur in the Range-Level Quiz Competition scheduled for April 17.
Cultural Evening
On the eve of Rajasthan Police Day, a cultural evening was also organised at the Reserve Police Lines, Udaipur, at 7:00 pm. Police personnel and their family members participated in the event.
On the occasion, SP Yogesh Goyal honoured the children of police personnel who had excelled in academics, sports and other activities. The event featured performances by police personnel and their children making it a memorable evening.
