Cyclothon starts the Environment Week
Hundreds of cyclists turned up early this morning to participate in the annual cyclothon organized in the joint association of Forest Department of Udaipur and Rotary Club. The rally was started from Luv Kush Stadium near Gandhi Ground.
Hundreds of cyclists turned up early this morning to participate in the annual cyclothon organized in the joint association of Forest Department of Udaipur and Rotary Club. The rally was started from Luv Kush Stadium near Gandhi Ground.
District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar also paddled with other participants. The rally was flagged of by S.K Verma, retired officer, Forest Conservation.
According to N.C. Jain, Chief Forest Conservator, with the cyclothon, Forest Department has announced Environment Week and will conduct several programs related to forest conservation from 1-7 Oct.
350 people registered today in the cycle marathon. The participants consisted of students, senior citizens, NCC cadets and representatives from social organizations.
A workshop on Wild Life and Wetland conservation was also held at Rotary Bajaj Bhawan. A trip to Kumbhalgarh is also going to be organized on 2nd Oct as a part of the Environment Week.
