According to the religious belief, married women perform this ‘pooja’ and it is observed that the one who performs pooja should not consume food before reciting the stories.

After the recitation, a yellow string also known as ‘Bael’ is worn by the devotees and then they can carry on with the choirs. Even before starting the ‘pooja’, the whole home is cleaned by the devotees and then after bathing and getting ready (‘shringaar’), the women move to a ‘peepal’ tree to worship Dasha Mata; as it’s been believed that the Goddess Dasha Mata resides in the tree of ‘peepal’.

Dasha Mata Worshipped ‘Naivaidya’ including curd, coconut, sweets, etc. is offered in the ‘ pooja’. The ornaments and 10 fruits for ‘ pooja’ are prepared with flour and turmeric. ‘ Pathvari Pooja’ is also performed on this day.
