A total of 210 units of blood were collected at the camp, with a significant number of women also participating.
Why 7th of Muharram
1,400 years ago, Imam Hussain, upheld the values of Islam by sacrificing his own life and that of his 72 companions on the battlefield of Karbala to preserve humanity. Inspired by this spirit of sacrifice and the commitment to humanity, the members of the Dawoodi Bohra Community paid tribute to Imam Hussain by donating their blood to a just cause. This annual event sees overwhelming participation by community members and even from those outside the community.
