Cultural Extravaganza Marks Day 2 of Kumbhalgarh Festival

On December 3, the third and final day of the festival, a grand nagada concert – Drum Odyssey by Dancing Peacock - will be held in the evening

Udaipur, Dec 3, 2025 - The second day of the three-day Kumbhalgarh Festival saw a large gathering of domestic and international tourists who witnessed mesmerising performances of traditional folk dance forms such as Chakri, Sahariya, Chang-Dhap, Kachchi Ghodi, Laal Angi, Bankiya, Bahuroopiya, Kalbelia, Langa and Gavri.  The colourful traditional attire of both the artists and visitors added charm to the festive ambience.

A major highlight of the day was the folk musical theatre performance by Lokraag-Sandeep Ratnu in the evening. The impressive stage and melodious folk tunes left the audience spellbound. The turban-tying competition also drew strong interest from tourists, with a large number of participants taking part.

Visitor inflow at Kumbhalgarh Fort remained steady throughout the day. The blend of ancient architecture, natural beauty and rich Rajasthani culture kept visitors engaged from morning to evening.

Police ensured all necessary security arrangements during the event. Those present included Tourism Department Joint Director Sumita Saroch, Deputy Director Shikha Saxena, SDM Sakshi Puri, Assistant Director Vivek Joshi, Assistant Director Jitendra Mali, Tourist Officer Neelu Rathore, representatives of the Hotel Association and other local officials.

On December 3, the third and final day of the festival, a grand nagada concert – Drum Odyssey by Dancing Peacock - will be held in the evening. Other activities during the day will include Rajasthani folk dance music, turban-tying competition and tug of war.
