A one day Continuing Dental Education (CDE) Workshop program titled “Avenues in the Management of Oro-facial Pain” was organized by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Pacific Dental College & Hospital, Debari Udaipur on Sunday 17^th March 2013 at the convention hall of the college.

According to the Organizing secretary Prof. Dr. Prashant Nahar, more than 170 delegates comprising of Faculty, Dental Surgeons, BDS and MDS students from Dental Colleges of Rajasthan, Gujarat and other states updated themselves with the latest in diagnosis and management of Oro-facial pain by Neuro-medicine, Acupuncture and Physiotherapy.

This event was conducted under the aegis of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine & Radiology for the first time in Rajasthan. Vice Chancellor of the PAHER University and Principal of Pacific Dental College Prof Dr. A. Bhagvandas Rai was the chief guest of the event who emphasized the need of such academic events for efficiency in curing chronic and distressing ailments of varied and obscured etiologies like pain affecting the head , face and jaw regions.

The Guest speakers were Prof. Dr. S.Y. Rajan (Oral Physician), Dr. A.K. Vats (Neurologist), Dr. B.L. Siroya(Acupuncture specialist) and Dr. Gaurav Paiwal (Physiotherapist), who besides delivering lectures on the topic, conducted live demonstrations of Acupuncture, LASER, DIATHERMY, TENS etc on patients suffering from orofacial pains of different etiologies.

Prof. Dr Mohit Pal Singh welcomed the delegates. There was a poster session on the topic in which more than 32 presentations were displayed. The other members of the organizing committee were Dr. S. Bhuvaneshwari , Dr. Hemant Mathur , Dr. Saurabh Goel , Dr. Priyanka Parnami , Dr. Anar Patel and Dr. Syed Parvez Ali.
