Members of Udaipur Municipal Corporation today held a meeting to plan for the upcoming Diwali-Dushera Mela. Historically held for 10 days, it was decided to increase the length of the festival to 13 days this year.

Diwali Dushera Mela will be held from 10 Oct till 22 Oct. Out of these 13 days, cultural programmes will be held on 7 days whereas the stalls and fair will continue for 13 days. This information was given out by Cultural Committee President, Jagdish Chandra Menaria.

Menaria informed that various committees have been formed to ensure successful conduct of the Diwali-Dushera Mela. The team will shortly begin writing to various stakeholders including soliciting sponsorships for the events.

In the meeting, a proposal was also raised to call for boycotting of China made products. The members unanimously agreed and opined that pamphlets will be distributed and shared with people calling for the boycott.
