Eco Trail Inspires Green Thinking

Forest Department and WWF India hold a series of activities at the Mewar Biodiversity Park on April 20

Udaipur, April 21, 2025 - Under the joint aegis of the Forest Department and World Wide Fund for Nature-India (WWF India), a series of activities including an eco trail, photo walk and a discussion on biodiversity conservation were organised on Sunday, April 20, at the Mewar Biodiversity Park. Participants ranged from children to elderly nature enthusiasts.

Ajay Chittora, Deputy Conservator of Forests (Udaipur North), emphasised the need for collective efforts to conserve the various types of flora and fauna in forest areas. WWF India co-ordinator Arun Soni said that the number of people participating in such activities is steadily increasing, thanks to the ongoing efforts of the Forest Department and WWF India.

Participants were also provided with insights about the urban forest area and the Mewar Biodiversity Park.

Bird experts Sharad Agrawal and Vinay Dave shared information about more than 45 species of birds and wildlife, including the Indian Grey Hornbill, Common Iora, Indian Yellow Tit, Indian Golden Oriole, Yellow-footed Green Pigeon, Jungle Owlet, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, and Chestnut-tailed Starling.
