A three days long convention was organized at Rajasthan Pentecostal Church, Udaipur to commemorate the arrival of Dr. Thomas Mathews in Rajasthan 50 years ago. Dr. Mathews a visionary leader felt “The call of God” to come to Rajasthan as a teenager.
Through his painstaking efforts in the field of social service and education, he lifted many lives and tirelessly served the poor and the needy. The event celebrated his service to humanity and acknowledge those who had stood with him to fullfill his vision during the thick and thin of his life. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar was the guest of honor in the event, where he congratulated the Church congregation for completing 50 years in the city and encouraged to continue the good work. A souvenir recounting important milestones and testimonies of those touched by his service was released even as the participants committed themselves to carry forward the legacy of their leader.
