Engineers Day: Engineers urged to Work on ‘Technology compatible with Nature’

The Local Center of Institution of Engineers (India) celebrated Engineers Day today in the seminar hall of the Institution at Hiran Magri, Sector 11. The event also included a seminar on the topic – Appropriate Climate Responsive Technologies for Inclusive Growth & Sustainable Development.

The Local Center of Institution of Engineers (India) celebrated Engineers Day today in the seminar hall of the Institution at Hiran Magri, Sector 11.  The event also included a seminar on the topic – Appropriate Climate Responsive Technologies for Inclusive Growth & Sustainable Development.

Dr. Y.S. Bhatt, President did the welcoming of guests and presented a draft on the activities of The Institution of Engineers (India).  E. N. Bansal then spoke on the life of Sir M. Visveshwarya.

Kishor Sant, Chief-Spokesperson addressed the guests and said, “The Global Warming is the main environmental factor that we have to solve. It is mainly the result of our ignorance and we are the ones who should seek solution for it”.

Dr. Pradeep Chandra Deka, Vice Chancellor, SPSU Chief Guest said, “Engineers should contribute to save nature by making technology compatible with nature”.

Engineer M.P. Baya, Freedom Fighter and Social Worker was honoured in the event.  He also donated Rs. 50 lac for the students of Udaipur Local Centre.

The program was led by N. B. Vasoya, Vice President; he thanked M.P. Baya for his social works and contribution towards the institution.

Dr. Deepesh Machiwal, Engg. Rahul Guota, Dr. Dharamveer Singh, Dr. J.P. Sharma, Engg. Vinod Yadav and Asit Svine was also awarded for excellence in their relative fields.

Priyanka Paliwal coordinated the event and thanksgiving was done by Engg. Sayeed Irshad Ali.
