Ceremonial Launch of Farhat Ehsaas’s Collected Works “Mujh Ko Meri Yaad Aa Rahi Hai”

New Delhi, 26 December 2025: The ceremonial launch of “Mujh Ko Meri Yaad Aa Rahi Hai,” the latest publication by renowned poet, scholar, and thinker Farhat Ehsaas, was held on December 25, 2025 at the Ambassador Hotel, New Delhi, coinciding with his birthday. The occasion saw the presence of a large gathering of writers, intellectuals, eminent literary figures, and lovers of literature.

The evening began at 6:00 PM with the arrival of guests and refreshments, followed by the formal programme at 7:00 PM. Poet and master of ceremonies Chirag Sharma opened the event with welcome remarks, outlining the purpose of the gathering and offering a comprehensive introduction to Farhat Ehsaas’s literary contributions and intellectual stature.

A special documentary highlighting Farhat Ehsaas’s poetry and personality was screened, which the audience watched with keen interest and appreciation.

During the official book launch, Farhat Ehsaas was joined on stage by Huma Khalil, Trustee and Creative Director of the Rekhta Foundation; Sanjiv Saraf, Founder of the Rekhta Foundation; noted fiction writer Khalid Javed; Asma Saleem; and Manish Shukla, who together unveiled the book.

This was followed by a speakers’ session in which Benish Khan, Muqaddasa Saleem, Asma Saleem, Khurshid Akram, Shoaib Nizam, and Khalid Javed spoke at length about Farhat Ehsaas’s poetry, his intellectual range, and his literary standing, describing him as a distinctive, powerful, and influential creative voice of the contemporary era.

In the wrap up, Farhat Ehsaas addressed the audience and recited selected poems, which were received with rapt attention and enthusiastic applause.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sanjiv Saraf, who also spoke about his long-standing friendship with Farhat Ehsaas.

The evening was not only a celebration of Farhat Ehsaas’s birthday but also a memorable moment for Urdu language and literature. It is hoped that his collected works, “Mujh Ko Meri Yaad Aa Rahi Hai,” will receive wide appreciation in literary circles.
