Feel the Colors of Real India at ‘Shilpgram Utsav-2013’

Hundreds of artists from 17 states of India are participating in the ten-day mega event of Shilpgram Utsav-2013 started from 21st Dec. This Annual Event is organized by West Zone Culture Center (WZCC) with a motto of promoting traditional Crafts and Artists.

Hundreds of artists from 17 states of India are participating in the ten-day mega event of Shilpgram Utsav-2013  started from 21st Dec. This Annual Event is organized by West Zone Culture Center (WZCC) with a motto of promoting  traditional Crafts and Artists.

The Art fair will be open for local masses everyday between 12:00pm to 9.30 pm till 30th December, where one can shop from wide varieties of handloom and handicrafts by craftsmen from across India, along with colorful dances of each participating states which will be showcased from 6pm everyday at Mukta Kashi Rang Manch in Shilpgram.

The dance performances are being divided into two broad groups, schedule of whole event is as follows:

21 to 25th December: Gode Modni of Goa, Sanghi Cham of Sikkim, Chapeli of Uttrakhand and Thadiya Chofla, Dangi Dance of Gujarat, Gotipua of Orissa, Nati of Himachal Pradesh, Puriliya Chaou of West Bengal, Gondmariya of Chhattisgarh, Brojai and Ju-Ju Ja-Ja dance of Arunachal Pradesh, Kardha Kolta and Mewati Dhawni of Karnataka will be presented.

26-30th December: Kalbeliya, Langa and Mangdniar dance with Bhapang tribal singers of Rajasthan, Kavdi Kadangam of Tamil Nadu, Tamang Selov and Gantu dance of Sikkim, Pung Cholam of Manipur, Bhangda and Ludadi dance of Punjab, Lavani dance of Maharashtra, Bihu dance of Assam, Siddhi Dhamal of Gujarat along with a Dhol and Tarpa of Silvasa will be showcased.
