Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur will be hosting the second edition of its Finance Conclave, ‘ArthSamvaad 2014’ on the 25th Jan. This event aims at creating awareness about the importance of Financial Management in an economy.

The Pioneer version ArthSamvaad’13 was organized under the theme ‘Are Indian Businesses decoupled from the rest of the world?’.

Last year the keynote speaker Nipun Mehta, Founder & CEO at Blue Ocean Capital Advisors laid emphasis on the reach of money, governmental regulations and how macroeconomic factors play an important role for any business especially in India.

The symposium witnessed an intriguing discussion with panelists including Mahesh Tahilyani, Group Finance Controller, Shapoor Pallon; Nitin Parekh,Group CFO Zydus Cadila, Cadila Healthcare Limited; Manish Vora, President & Regional Head-Gujarat, CIIB, Yes Bank; RameshBhat, Former Professor, IIM Ahmedabad; Makarand Padalkar,CFO, Oracle Financial Services; Deepak Doegar, CFO, GE Energy India.

This year with the theme of‘Financial Management: Cues for the future’, IIMU have SV Sundaresan, Chief General Manager, SEBI as their Chief Guest addressing the topic. The event will also witness stalwarts from I-Banking, Advisory, M&A and premiere banking services.

The run-up event ‘Vitt-Sangram’ includes various competitions and has received entries from different B-Schoolsacross the country.
