First Day of Extravaganza at Kumbhalgarh Festival
Kumbhalgarh Festival 2013 witnessed its first colourful day yesterday with various cultural events and dances by the folk artists, who displayed appraising dance performances at Yagya Vedi Chowk. The event was organized with the joint association of Tourism Department and District Administration.

The inaugural procedural were carried out by Ganesh Singh Parmar, MLA and other guests by lighting the lamps. First cultural dance of ‘Ghavri’ was presented by artists from Kherwada, followed by Kacchi Ghodi, Terah Taali, Kaalbelia and Chakri Dance, that enthralled the audience comprised of both local and foreign tourists. Yaseen Khan from Jodhpur presented melodious singing performance.
The event concluded with ‘Tug of War’ which was played between male foreign tourists’ vs male local artists and, female foreign tourists’ vs female local artists. Both games were won by foreign tourists.
Dilip Singh Rathore, Ass. Director of tourism department welcomed the guests in the event including Surat Singh, Govind Singh Ranawat, Kashi Ram Chauhan, Hariram Chauhan, Bishan Singh, Manohar Tak, Satyanarayan Bayti, Harish Suthar, Goverdhan Singh Jhala, Gopi Chandra Meena, Bharat Singh Barwara and others.
The event was co-ordinated by Mahendra Singh and Kuber Singh Solanki.
