Udaipur will host the first of its kind Nature Literature Festival in January 2019. The festival is being organised by Rajasthan Forest Department.

With literature festivals gaining popularity, Rajasthan Forest Department has taken this path for promoting wildlife and nature awareness. The event is being supported by World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) and will coincide with Udaipur Bird Festival.

Udaipur Bird Festival has been on state forest department’s itinerary for last 3 years. During the festival, ornithologists and wildlife experts have been flocking to Udaipur to witness birds and their activities in lakes around Udaipur.

Udaipur Nature Literature Festival will be organised on 11th January along with three day Udaipur Bird Festival to be organised from 11-13 January 2019.

Six national authors and experts have already given their approval to attend the festival. Forest department is also trying to take help of WWF for roping in International authors and wildlife experts for the festival.
