The Toastmasters fraternity of Udaipur and Jodhpur organised an Area Level International Speech Contest and Table Topics Speech Contest: FLOURISH 2020 for Area C1, Division C, District 41, Toastmasters International, at Vigyan Samiti Ashok Nagar, Udaipur.

Area C1 of District 41, Toastmasters International has four clubs – including 2 community Clubs (open for anyone who is 18+).  Udaipur Toastmasters Club, Jodhpur Toastmasters Club, 2 Institutional Clubs - Techno Ariston Toastmasters Club of Techno NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur and Silvertongues, the Toastmasters Club of Indian Institute of Management Udaipur. These clubs are jointly led by Area Director Toastmaster, Parul Srivastava.

Club level winners from all the four clubs participated in the International Speech and Table Topics Speech Area Level contest. The contest also had active participation from Bodhi Kota Toastmasters Club and other guests.

The contests were well executed by the contest chairs Toastmaster Vidhi Garg and Toastmaster Parul Srivastava in a highly professional manner.

Chief Judge for the contests Distinguished Toastmaster Sonia Keswani made sure that her secret team of judges did a fair and unbiased judging to bring out the best speakers for the Area.

Timers TM Rohitang and TM Ranish Mehta, Sergeant at Arms TM Vinod Lohar and Tally counters TM Kanika Mathur and TM Harsh Attri, did total justice to their crucial roles in the contests.

Toastmasters audience and guests mingled in the networking break over a cup of tea.

Appreciation Awards were given to all the participants : TM Tahir Lukkawala (Udaipur Toastmasters Club), TM Shabaz Khan and TM Rishika Gandhi ( Jodhpur Toastmasters Club), TM Eakansh Jain (Techni Ariston) and TM Rohan Joseph George ( Silvertongues IIM Udaipur)

TM Rishika Gandhi (Jodhpur Toastmasters Club) bagged the award for Winner of International Speech Contest for Area C1, Division C, District 41 , Toastmasters International, TM Tahir Lukkawala (Udaipur Toastmasters Club) stood 1st Runner Up and TM Rohan Joseph George (Silvertongues IIMU) was awarded as 2nd Runner Up.

TM Eakansh Jain (Techno Ariston) bagged the award for Winner of Table Topics Speech Contest for Area C1, Division C, District 41 , Toastmasters International, TM Tahir Lukkawala (Udaipur Toastmasters Club) stood 1st Runner Up and TM Rohan Joseph George (Silvertongues IIMU) was awarded as 2nd Runner Up.

The winners will now be representing Udaipur and Jodhpur Area (Area C1) in the Division Level Contest for Division C i.e Rajasthan, in April 2020.

The success of Flourish 2020 was possible only because of the collaborative efforts of all the volunteers and role players, who ensured that we all keep growing as better leaders and communicators while raising our own bar. Such events not just bring out leaders, but also help the Toastmasters fraternity become a strong rooted family of likeminded individuals who wish to excel in in a positive and supportive self-paced learning environment to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
