Udaipur will host its first food expo on 25-26 Dec. The expo will be held at Fateh school ground near Surajpole. Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor will inaugurate the expo.

The expo has been organised by Udaipur Halwai Caterers Vikas Samiti (HVCVC). Devilal Gurjar of HVCVC informed that the expo will be hosted in an area of 1 lakh square ft. 2 large domes have been set up which will house over 100 stall.

Live food from 7 countries and 12 states will be made available to the visitors to the expo. The food expo has some elements that are of international standards and this expo will help in exhibiting these and opening business avenues for the HVCVC members for marriage and other celebratory arrangements.

Some of the international dishes that will be made live include Italian chocolate tart, thin crush pizza, Thai Satay, Egyptian Baklava Doner Kebab, Chinese Spring rolls amongst others. Regional cuisine from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, MP, UP, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Assam, Jammu & Kashmir will also be made live.

The food expo will be purely vegetarian.
