On 462^nd foundation anniversary of Udaipur city, series of events were organized with joint efforts of Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC), where humorous poetry entertained masses on first day of event last night at UMC Auditorium.

In the event, poets from various parts of country presented their poetic creations; patriotic and humorous genre was major among them. Poets like Hemant Panday (Kanpur), Jagannath Vishv (Nagda), Shanti Tufan (Nimbaheda), Rajkumar Badal (Shakkagarh), Upendra Adnu (Rishabdev), Shayam Angara (New Delhi), Siddharth Deval (Udaipur) and Mahav Darak (Kumbalgarh) participated in the event.

The increasing rape cases and crime against women remained prime concern of the show, while some recited poems of patriotism which made masses proud of their country.

In the series of event today, seminar on ‘Udaipur: Water Management Past and Future’ will be organized at Maharana Kumbha hall in B.N College, in which Prof. K.S Gupta, famous historian will be the special guest.
