There is good news for all `swimming enthusiasts of Udaipur. Swimming Pool at Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon is all set to start its first session of free swimming coaching. District administration has filled the existing pool and will begin camp from next week.

District Sports Council has prepared schedule and started registration process at Council office in Luv-Kush Stadium. Coaching sessions will be organized in morning and evening shifts, separate batches of girls are also proposed.

The Swimming Pool at Khel Gaon completed its construction work back in year 2010. But no sports activity took place at venue due to prolong water problem across the sports complex.

Presently administration has managed to fill this huge pool, using around 400 water tankers each with a capacity of 5000 liters. The water is not purified and purification process has started on site, which will take around four days to purify water in the pool.

As per officials of Urban Improvement Trust (UIT), pool was built as per International norms and has a maximum depth of 2.0 meters and minimum depth of 1.35 meters at starting point.
