This one-day capacity-building workshop is being held under the 'Trust EV Awareness Oath' programme
Udaipur, April 10, 2025 - The Institution of Engineers (India), Udaipur Local Centre is organising a free one-day capacity-building workshop on Establishing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in India, tomorrow, April 11, under the “Trust EV Awareness Oath” initiative.
This information was shared by Neha Sakka, Electrical Engineer (P&IA) at Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (JVVNL). Sakka will also be one of the speakers at the workshop, focusing on the national policy framework, business models and practical requirements for setting up EV charging infrastructure.
Under the latest Ministry of Power Guidelines (2024), EV charging has been delicensed — meaning any individual, entrepreneur, institution, or business can now set up EV charging stations without requiring a license, subject to technical and safety compliance. This has opened up a major new economic opportunity for startups, hospitality businesses, landowners, RWAs and many others in urban centres like Udaipur.
With the PM e-Drive scheme and other national and State-level incentives supporting the expansion of EV infrastructure, this workshop aims to demystify the complex regulatory and technical aspects of EVCS for a wide range of local stakeholders.
The workshop is being conducted in offline mode in the city at The Institution of Engineers (India), Udaipur Local Centre, Sector 11.
