The Ganpati Mahautsav is scheduled to start from 29th August in Udaipur along with rest of India. The deity being prominent among Hindu community is celebrated with immense zeal. Preparation for 10 days of devotion has already started in various localities of city.

The Ganpati Mahautsav is scheduled to start from 29th August in Udaipur along with rest of India. The deity being prominent among Hindu community is celebrated with immense zeal. Preparation for 10 days of devotion has already started in various localities of city.

A devotee informed that idols of Lord Ganesha have been established in various colonies for next 10 days. Special prayers dedicated to deity are organized every evening. On the other hand, a large number of devotees visit temples where prayers are carried out at night.

On the occasion, local sculptors of Lakecity have created colorful idols of Lord Ganesha. Families and social groups are buying and establishing it in their respective localities.

The timing of first worship starts from 6 am to 10.30 am and Noon to 1.30 pm during the day. The idols of deity would be established in pandals across city between 6.00 pm to 7.10 pm following mahurata given by priests.
