Garba at Guru Nanak Girl’s College
On the occasion of ongoing Navratri festival, Student Union and Cultural committee at the Guru Nanak Girls College organized a vivacious Dandiya program in the college campus today where Director of Success Coaching, Avinash Jain was invited as the chief guest.
On the occasion of ongoing Navratri festival, Student Union and Cultural committee at the Guru Nanak Girls College organized a vivacious Dandiya program in the college campus today where Director of Success Coaching, Avinash Jain was invited as the chief guest.
Girls, clad in vibrant folk attires, participated with full vigor and filled the atmosphere with the sound of striking dandiya sticks in-chorus with the garba beats. Girls flaunted gorgeous dance moves that did not go unnoticed from the photographer.
Director of college, professor G M Mehta told that the program started with the puja and aarti of Goddess Durga. After that, in the direction of Cultural In-charge, Dr Sangeeta Mathur and President of Student Union, Varsha Jain, around 800 students and faculty members performed Garba and Dandiya on the rhythmic folk songs devoted to goddess Durga.
Several competitions were also organized for the girls in which, Anmol Dembla won the award of Miss Garba 2012. Awards were presented to the winners by the Chief Guest, Avinash Jain.
