Based on the culture of Mewar, a newly constructed Gawri Chouraha at sector 11 was inaugurated today by Indresh Kumar, senior member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Based on the culture of Mewar, a newly constructed Gawri Chouraha at sector 11 was inaugurated today by Indresh Kumar, senior member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

On the occasion, Rajni Dangi, Mayor of Udaipur Municipal Corporation welcomed all guests and said that Gawri is a folk dance of Mewar, and this chouraha is developed to present a glimpse of this marvelous heritage.

There are statues of 13 main characters representing the popular dance of Gawri, to present rural atmosphere. The chouraha is covered with railing in wooden texture.

Gulabchand Kataria, State Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj was also present among other eminent guests like Dinesh Bhatt, Virendra Dangi and Takhtsingh Shaktawat.

Phool Singh Meena (MLA Rural) led the program.

A group of tribal people performed the Gavri Dance to entertain the audience.
