For the first time ever, Udaipur will witness a half cycle marathon in the full moon night of Sharad Poornima on October 29, 2012. The event is being organized by Wildlife Department Udaipur to encourage denizens to come out and appreciate beautiful nights of Udaipur and give nature lovers an opportunity to traverse lakeside under the dazzling full moon.

Cycle marathon will start at 6 pm from Van Bhawan, Chetak Circle. It will pass via UIT circle, Fatehsaagar, Ambamata, Mallatalai, Ashadham Ashram and will terminate at Jungle Safari Park (Kalka Mata Nursery), Sisarma.

Cyclists will be treated with delicious kheer made under the full moon by the ancient Ayurvedic method. Other visitors (coming on other vehicles) will have to pay Rs 30 for having the same kheer.

Wildlife department will conduct a workshop and give an opportunity to the participants to have a nature walk near the lake.

To participate, people will have to get themselves registered at Jungle Safari.
