“Give LOVE not HATE to Divyangs” was the message conducted by the physically impaired in a theatre in Darpan Sabhagar at Shilpgram, Udaipur.

Give love- the message was given out in a play on Sunday. Some of the actors in the play were visually impaired whereas some had blindfolded to be on the same platform as others. It was a heart rendering performance by the children.

The play “Nandan Katha” is about a poor family. Bhola Shankar is father of 2 kids. Shobhit is extremely intelligent. Nandan has singing talents but is ignored by the father since he is blind by birth. Nandan is the central character of this play. His mother Sarla loves him beyond limits and tries her best to educate him through games and music. A wicked merchant of the village, Jeevan Singh, makes unsuccessful attempts to force Nandan’s father to send him to an orphanage. Years later, Nandan returns to the village as a musician and opens a music school for the village children. The play was directed by Bharat Ratn Bhargava. Music was given by Dr. Prem Bhandari. The play was a joint venture of Music Lovers Club, West Zone Cultural centre and Natyakulam of Jaipur. This play was prepared during a month’s workshop for theatre. The visually impaired children were given acting traits in this workshop.
