Margaret Alva, Governor of Rajasthan inaugurated a two day Guni (Traditional Healer) Conference started today at MLSU. The conference is organized by Jan Jagran Vikas Samiti in association with MLSU.

Margaret Alva, Governor of Rajasthan inaugurated a two day Guni (Traditional Healer) Conference started today at MLSU. The conference is organized by Jan Jagran Vikas Samiti in association with MLSU.

While addressing the event, Alva said, “Traditional healing is a well known medicinal healing technique in India’s rural and tribal areas.” She praised the work of preserving traditional healing done by the NGO Jan Jagran Vikas Samiti and Mohan Lal Sukhadia University.

Alva said, “The organization should keep on searching Gunis to join their mission. The government has announced Rs.5 Lac as a financial assistance to the organization and promised to keep supporting the cause in future.”

She said that MLSU will soon start a certificate course based on traditional healing techniques. Governor Alva also honored 10 Gunis for their outstanding contribution.

MLSU’s vice chancellor Prof. I.V Trivedi, Prof. D.S Chundawat, District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar, Ganesh Purohit, director of Jan Jagran also shared their views.

Governor departs to Jaipur

Governor Margaret Alva proceeded to Jaipur after completing her two day visit to Udaipur. She returned to Jaipur by state aircraft.

All top administrative officials were present at the Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok.
