Mic On, Fear Off: Gregorian Orators Gavels Club Launched at St. Gregorios School, Udaipur

Udaipur, May 11, 2025: St. Gregorios School has become the first in Udaipur to launch a Gavels Club, titled the Gregorian Orators Gavels Club, with the support of Toastmasters of Udaipur. This initiative introduces students to a global youth leadership platform, focused on communication, confidence, and character building.

Co-led by Principal TM Shubha Jose and Toastmaster Lakshi Sharma, Area C4 Director, District 98, the club is open to students from Classes 8 to 12. It provides a nurturing space where they can develop public speaking and leadership skills through structured, interactive sessions. School counselor Monica Jain will serve as the in-house mentor.

The inaugural demo meeting was held around the theme “Mic On: Fear Of”, encouraging students to explore and overcome the fear of public speaking — a critical step toward becoming poised communicators.

As the first Gavels Club in Udaipur, the Gregorian Orators Club is aligned with Toastmasters International, a network spanning 140+ countries, and aims to empower students to Learn, Level Up, and Lead.
