A three day corporate training program, ‘Leadership Development Program’ focusing on the approach of developing leadership skills by taking action got underway today at the Sheraton Hotel, Udaipur.

A three day corporate training program, ‘Leadership Development Program’ focusing on the approach of developing leadership skills by taking action got underway today at the Sheraton Hotel, Udaipur. The program, which focuses on effective leadership is being managed by the Institute of Industry Academy Interface and Consultants (IIAIC) and focuses on its core topic of effective leadership, irrespective of the desired ‘qualities’ or ‘style’.

Mahendra Taya, President of the UCCI and Ashish Chhabra, Seceratry General of UCCI graced the program thereby lending the full support of the UCCI to this event.   On the occasion, Chhabra said “This is a welcome move by IIAIC who have launched this program of global standards with Indian ethos in Udaipur.  Udaipur has always suffered from lack of such expertise locally and had to depend on distant location experts for learning and development in this critical area of leadership”.

Among the local corporate who are taking advantage of this program, a few notable ones are Wonder Cement, Secure Meters, Pyrotech, Monomark, Miraj Group, JK Cement, E-Connect, etc.

IIAIC is managed by Vinod Verma, Harvard Alumnus; Dipak Ghosh, IIM-A and Dr. Manisha Agarwal, holding a Doctorate in Human Resource Management.  Dipak and Dr. Manisha were very optimistic in their assessment towards conducting this program in Udaipur.  They said that the IIAIC is well equipped to provide excellent HR Services to businesses in Udaipur and Rajasthan.  In spite of having a pan India presence, the IIAIC has local resources having a global perspective to train industry leaders in the city.  They further emphasized that the IIAIC has many more such initiatives planned for the Udaipur corporate, which can be benefitted from.

Vinod Verma, one of the Managing Partners of IIAIC, is an Electrical Engineer, and an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School.  A certified De Bono trainer, he initially managed factory operations in SAIL, where his tenure of 24 years ended as General Manager.  During his tenure with the steel giant, he was credited with introducing systemic changes.  He then moved to Wockhardt where he headed Corporate HR and Information Technology division.  An NIPM Gold Medalist, Verma has run HR consulting assignments for various industry sectors including Steel, Construction, Pharma, Banking, Automobile, IT, ITES, Telecom, Aluminum, Zinc, Advertising, Entertainment, Mining and Power.

As per Flt Lt. (Dr.) Manmeet Sardalia, Corporate Trainer, IIAIC “The Institute also organizes corporate training programs in various colleges and schools of the city, where they train students as per requirements of Industry; polishing them on Leadership Development, Performance Management, Team Building, Time Management, Inter-Personal Skills and other technical areas important in performing their jobs effectively”.
