Ten-year-old chess wizard Kiyanna Parihaar among the distinguished list of achievers and five martyrs felicitated at the fifth edition of the Udaipur Ratna Samman Samaroh
Udaipur, April 14, 2025 – The fifth edition of the Udaipur Ratna Samman Samaroh, organised by the Rajasthan Institute of Culture and Literature, was held at the Sukhadia University Guest Auditorium. Several outstanding personalities were felicitated in a ceremony for excelling in different field like craftsmanship, education, literature, self-employment, sports, training and social service.
Five martyrs were posthumously honoured during the event: Captain Vikram Batra (Delhi), Major Dikshant Thapa (Pathankot), Captain Anshuman Singh (Lucknow), Colonel Manpreet Singh (Chandigarh) and Captain Shubham Gupta (Agra). The parents of martyred Major Mustafa were also present on the occasion.
Udaipur Ratna Awardees:
Cultural performances were presented, such as the Shiv Tandav Stotra through Odissi by Shaili Srivastava and group, and Krishna Darshan in Kathak by Shruti School of Music.
Chief Guest on the occasion was Retired Major General Dr Gagandeep Bakshi; specials guests were Colonel SS Sarangdevot, Maharaj Randhir Singh Bhinder; Guests of Honour were Dr Anju Giri, Dr Hemlata Rathore and Dr Alpana Singh. The event was presided over by Prof Dr Vijaya Lakshmi Chauhan.
Several institutions participated as Bhamashahs (patrons). These included Nero Food & Beverage, Anushka Academy, Animator Academy, ICA, Success Coaching Centre, Kamal Studio, Dhsani Tours and City Pride School, .
Founder-president Rohit Bansal shared that the annual event aims to identify and honour talents from society who often remain the unsung hero because they lack a platform to showcase their identity. Another goal of Udaipur Ratna Samman Samaroh, he said, is to inspire others through the success stories of these awardees.
The programme was hosted by Bhavna Vyas and Vote of Thanks was given by General Secretary Prinkesh Jain. Attendees from the organising team included Neeraj Sanadhya, Gopesh Parihar, Swastik Chauhan, Shubham Sen, Madhu Odichya, Rama Malhotra, Preeti Malhotra, Dr Bharat Singh Rao, Rakesh Jain, Dilip Bansal, Asha Bansal, Gunjan, Varsha Songar, Kartik Jain, Apoorva and Kirti.
Major General Gagandeep Bakshi praised the event saying, "Many programmes are organised, but it is difficult to hold such a well-organised, harmonious and dignified event as this one was.” He added, “This city is as beautiful as this event,” and extended his congratulations and best wishes to the awardees.
