A Hindi and Urdu shayari sammelan was organized at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal. The main attraction of the event was Hindustan Zinc srijan Award which was given to famous Shailesh Lodha from Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma. He was given the amount of rs 1 lac as token of respect in poet’s community.

The sammelan was started with Ikbal Sagar and then followed by Arun Singh Makhmoor, Hardik Hindustani, Sanjay Mishra, Ranjeet Singh Chouhan, Nusrat Mehendi, Anwar Jalalpuri etc. Chief guests included state home minister Gulab Chand Katariya, Police Superintendent Anand Shrivastava, Akhilesh Joshi from Vedanta Hinjali, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, Chittorgarh Police Superintendent Prasanna Khameshra, Gazal singer Rajkumar Rijvi and S.P. Shrimali etc. There was another award named as Srijan Prerak, which was given to 5 other artists named Rajkumar Keswani from Bhopal, Raju Manwani from Mumbai, Dr. Yashwant Kothari from Udaipur, Rajeev Bhatt from Jaipur and Ganpat Bhansali from Surat.
