Hindustan Zinc’s Sakhi and Samadhan CSR projects generate Rs 4.99 lakh sales and promote rural women empowerment

Udaipur, Jan 7, 2026 -  Hindustan Zinc Limited showcased its flagship CSR initiatives — Sakhi, Micro-Enterprise and Samadhan — at the Flower Show organised on the Fateh Sagar embankments in Udaipur. During the 10-day-long grand event, the skills of rural women and the products crafted by them won the hearts of tourists and Udaipur residents alike.

Under the Upaya brand, a wide range of Ajrakh-printed products were displayed, including apparel for men and women, along with modern accessories such as laptop bags, cushion covers, document holders and coasters. Additionally, Daichi’s pure spices, pulses, pickles, snacks and traditional Bilona ghee under the Gayam initiative received overwhelming appreciation. As a result, total sales worth Rs 4.99 lakh were recorded. Over 2 lakh visitors visited the stall during the 10-day exhibition.

The exhibition’s major attraction was the Engagement Zone, which beautifully combined learning with entertainment. More than 5,000 visitors got first-hand experience of traditional block printing and the Bilona ghee-making process. Moreover, street plays performed over two days by members of the Sakhi Uthori group delivered powerful social messages and deeply impressed the audience.

Through these initiatives, Hindustan Zinc remains committed to empowering rural communities and connecting them with the mainstream market.
